Consultation has concluded

Throughout the summer of 2022, 10 potable water bottle fill stations were installed on City fire hydrants throughout the community as a pilot project to provide convenient access to drinking water in areas where such access may be limited. The program was evaluated on usage (based on meter readings at each site), community feedback, and cost/benefit analysis.

Water in the City fire hydrants is potable and safe to drink with routine inspections and tests completed at the time of installation as well as throughout the period of time each station is installed on a hydrant.
