Airport Master Plan Community Survey

The City of Medicine Hat is gathering feedback from residents, businesses, and stakeholders on your priorities for the future of YXH. Through this short survey, we want to hear:

Your view on what success is for YXH in the future

All responses will remain anonymous and will only be used by the City and its consultants to inform initiatives relating to YXH. The survey is available until February 8, 2026.

Emergency Services - YXH supports medical care flights by Alberta EHS fixed-wing air ambulance, HALO, and STARS; search and rescue; and law enforcement. 862 patients were flown by fixed-wing air ambulance in 2024 and 170+ missions were operated by HALO in 2025.

Through the first round of engagement for the Strategic Plan, stakeholders identified the following as priorities for YXH. Of these priorities, which are the three that are most important as part of your vision for the success of YXH?

Supporting Emergency Services - The infrastructure and services of YXH meet the needs of air ambulance, search and rescue, and law enforcement operations
