If you drive, walk, cycle, or use public transit in the winter, snow and ice control during the winter matters to you. Your feedback plays an important role.
The last time the City reviewed its snow and ice control practices was in 2011.
In the spring of 2019, the City began asking the community for feedback as part of a review on current snow and ice control practices. Two open houses and a community survey helped gather feedback on how residents feel the current program is working.
In addition to listening to the community, the City’s Municipal Works department is also researching industry best practices and any new technology available when it comes to snow clearing and removal.
The goal is to complete this review in 2020.

You're invited to participate in a City of Medicine Hat survey regarding current snow and ice control methods and provide input on how to improve this service.
Please read through the Snow & Ice Storyboards (PDF), located in the Document Library, to better understand the City's current practices around snow and ice control.
This survey should take you approximately 5 minutes to complete, depending on your answers.
The information from this survey is collected under the authority of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, Section 33(c) and is used to provide guidance to The City of Medicine Hat when it comes to making decisions regarding civic services.
If you encounter any technical issues about this survey, please provide details here. Hard copies of the survey are also available at the Municipal Works building on Kipling Street.
