Snow & Ice Control Review
If you drive, walk, cycle, or use public transit in the winter, snow and ice control during the winter matters to you. Your feedback plays an important role.
The last time the City reviewed its snow and ice control practices was in 2011.
In the spring of 2019, the City began asking the community for feedback as part of a review on current snow and ice control practices. Two open houses and a community survey helped gather feedback on how residents feel the current program is working.
In addition to listening to the community, the City’s Municipal Works department is also researching industry best practices and any new technology available when it comes to snow clearing and removal.
The goal is to complete this review in 2020.
