Where will the MHTnow pilot operate?
MHTnow is available in the NE and NW areas of the city, and recently expanded to include River Flats and South Hill.
The service will be available weekday evenings, between 6:45 pm and 10:45 pm.
These zones offers locations that work well for direct trips, such as the FLC, various commercial zones and the airport.
How much is it to ride MHTnow?
The cost to ride MHTnow is the same as current regular fares for Transit.
Use your monthly pass or deposit payment into their fare box upon boarding.
How does MHTnow connect with the other Medicine Hat Transit routes?
MHTnow will connect with other routes at the Transit Terminal downtown. This will occur whenever requested by a zone rider using the app, and at regular intervals.
If you are riding our fixed-route service, use the app to book a pick up at the terminal for your arrival time, to ensure a smooth transfer.
Can I use MHTnow if I use a wheelchair?
Yes, MHTnow utilizes regular Medicine Hat Transit buses. MHT buses are fully accessible with 2-3 wheelchair spots on each bus.
Riders can indicate their need for wheelchair access when booking a trip, and we will ensure space is available on the bus sent to pick you up.
Can I book a trip without the app, or without a smartphone?
Yes, if you do not have a smartphone, you can call a booking agent at 403-529-8214, and when prompted, select #3.
The agent will need a phone number so they can reach you to provide alerts on the arrival time of your bus.
