A New Beginning

I moved to Medicine Hat almost 22 years ago. March 10, 2002 was my first day here. I was newly divorced and a mom of three little girls. We were welcomed at their first school and I had found a great job. I needed a change and I absolutely fell in love with the city. My grown up (now) kids all consider Medicine Hat their hometown. I’m a Hatter for life now and I don’t think I would ever leave here. I met my now husband 13 years ago and we have a good life together here. Most of my grandchildren have been born here as well! I absolutely love all the parks and the amazing trails systems. My favourite places to relax are probably Echo Dale Park and Kin Coulee Park. I don’t honestly like leaving even for a weekend because there’s so much to do and explore. I threw a dart at a map of Alberta on my wall 22 years ago and I’m still so amazed at how wonderful my impulsive decision turned out!
