What is the purpose of the project?
The purpose of this project is to develop a plan that will guide the City of Medicine Hat in effectively delivering, supporting, facilitating, enhancing, and amplifying the arts, heritage, and entertainment sector in the community.
Why is this project important?
This study will help us identify how we can ensure Medicine Hat is a vibrant, exciting, and interesting place to both live and visit. We need your input to make the plan the best it can be!
When will the project be complete?
The project is scheduled to be completed in July 2024.
How can you provide input toward the plan?
There are several opportunities to provide input toward the plan (see below). All residents, businesses, and community groups in Medicine Hat are encouraged to participate.
1- Community Survey
Fill out the online survey (available from January 15 – February 12, 2024).
2- Digital Input Workshops
Digital Input Workshops are scheduled to take place on February 1 and 6, 2024 through video conference. The sessions will begin with a presentation by the consultant team to introduce the project. This will be followed by facilitated discussions to gather input from participants. Please see the schedule below and register to attend if you would like to participate.

We accept registration for workshops up until the start of the meeting; however, we recommend registering at least one day in advance in order to receive and review the presentation slides. Register here!
3- Community Road Show
Members of the consulting team will be in Medicine Hat on January 29 and 30, 2024 to engage with the public through a community road show. Staffed engagement stations with presentation boards and family-friendly activities will be set up throughout the City (see schedule below). Come on by to speak with us!
