September 2025, 2026 - Design decision

On Monday, September 21, 2026, the City Council discussed and voted on a Request for Decision outlining three potential design options for the corridor ([Read starts page 165] / [Watch starts at 23 min]).

City Council unanimously voted to proceed with building back 3 Street N with the same road width as is currently in place.

As we cannot deliver a multi-use trail and maintain the current road width, this design element was removed from the proposed design. The approved design includes 7 enhanced crossing locations:

7 AVE NW

Next steps:

A design will be developed and tendered for spring 2027 with construction anticipated to start in the commercial district.
