    Medicine Hat – The City is seeking community input regarding the update to the parks and recreation master plan.

    Staff are working with a consultant to ensure alignment with existing plans and the Municipal Development Plan.

    “This updated master plan will serve as our guide when it comes to decision making and planning for both short- and long-term projects,” said Scott Richter. “This plan will help shape our community for future years and we want our residents to have a say.”

    An online survey will be available from Wednesday, July 21 to Thursday, August 5. Responses collected will be used to develop the final version of the master plan.

    Pop-up events with information regarding the will be set up at the following locations:

    Saturday, July 31

    Strathcona Island Park from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

    Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

    Sunday, August 1

    Kin Coulee Park from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

    Echo Dale Regional Park from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

    Additional pop-up events are scheduled for later this summer, to share the comments and ideas that have been collected from the community.
