We are working to update the Parks & Recreation Master Plan which aligns with the recent Municipal Development Plan and the policies outlined.
This master plan is intended to be a living document and will serve as a department guide for decision making, helping guide how the community will grow and develop numerous areas, including open space, recreation, social development, culture, environmental stewardship, and how it interacts with other areas of the public realm.
The Parks & Recreation department is working to update the Park System Management Plan (2010) and the Recreation Master Plan (2011) and create one updated, merged document. The previous plans had sound frameworks which will be updated and carried forward.
