Why I stayed

I moved to a near by small town as a young child from the big city of Calgary. My parents wanted better for us. We stayed in the small town until I was a teenager snd needed more, and Medicine Hat became more then just a trip to town for groceries. I started living on my own young. Working a couple jobs, not driving, this safe smaller city gave me the ability to walk everywhere without feeling scared. I met my husband here, and so even though my entire family lives elsewhere I stayed. We started businesses, made carreers, had our kids here and continue to stay here because this place is home it's a safe smaller city for our kids to grow in. Its close enough to those small towns and farm land to make them feel real roots to their home.

It's a small enough city that word of mouth is still a thing and therefor helps our businesses thrive.
