The City of Medicine Hat is inviting residents to their fifth public engagement event (formerly called Municipal Mingle) scheduled for Thursday, May 1 from 4 to 7 p.m., Main Lobby, Big Marble Go Centre (2000 Division Ave N).
This in-person event is an opportunity to interact with representatives from various City departments and ask questions about existing and new initiatives. There will be free childminding in the playroom! While supplies last, you can also pick up a litter blitz clean up pack and/or a bike bell giveaway.
Participating departments:
- Assessment Department – Bring your questions about your assessed property values
- Big Marble Go Centre/Recreation – Learn about recreation programs and litter blitz
- Communications, Engagement and Marketing – Ways to engage with the City
- Economic Development – Investment attraction and upcoming plans
- Environmental Strategy and Compliance with Strategy and Analysis – Learn about programs to finance energy efficiency upgrades
- Environment Utilities – Water and sewer projects happening this year (Harlow/Noble Parks, Birch Ave SE, 3 ST SE/6 AVE SE Downtown, 7 ST SW, 3 ST SE/North Railway St SE)

- Land and Real Estate – Learn about multi-family and commercial land for sale
- Heritage Resources Working Group - Current projects and information
- Medicine Hat Fire and Emergency Services – Fire safety and 125th anniversary celebrations
- Medicine Hat Police Service – Learn about responsible animal ownership, unsightly property, noise, and public safety bylaws
- Municipal Works, Engineering team – Learn about Riverside corridor (3rd Street NE/NW) project
- Neighbourhood Associations – How to start or join a Neighbourhood Association and upcoming neighbourhood events
