Infrastructure Delivery Philosophy - Validation Check-in

We are circulating a short survey to validate what we’ve heard throughout this initiative and what is informing the draft Infrastructure Delivery Philosophy.

The survey offers a place for the advisory committee to comment on the What We Heard report and review the key assumptions and priorities we’ve heard from both the City and development community as it relates to development.

Your input at this stage is important as these are foundational pieces to the initiative and will help us confirm alignment before the technical materials are brought forward for discussion at the next advisory committee meeting.

WHAT WE HEARD REPORT

We invite advisory committee members to review the What We Heard report.

This report details four themes brought forward by the advisory committee and details progress toward 30+ specific requests:

  1. Transparency & Methodology Stakeholders are seeking a clearer and more consistent explanation of how off‑site levy projects are selected, costed, and allocated to benefitting areas.
  2. Financial Clarity Stakeholders are requesting clear, complete, and verifiable accounting of past collections, expenditures, and financial impacts.
  3. Predictability of Rates The development industry is seeking stable, predictable levy rates based on realistic growth assumptions to support business planning.
  4. Consultation & Involvement Stakeholders want earlier, more meaningful ongoing engagement and greater confidence that feedback influences decisions.
