The Riverside Corridor Enhancement project is a long‑term investment in critical infrastructure, expected to last 30–50 years. It combines roadway renewal, utility upgrades, and safety improvements to avoid repeated construction and future disruption.
In April 2025, Municipal Works shared a conceptual design to gather feedback. Based on that input, the design has been revised. This survey focuses on updated elements where community input can still help inform final decisions. Some elements, such as utility depth, road classification, and required safety and design standards, must meet engineering and accessibility requirements and are not subject to change.
This survey will support us all in better understanding to better understand community preferences and concerns. Survey results will be shared back to you.
What has changed since the conceptual design
Based on public feedback (see the What We Heard
report), several key changes have been made:
- The proposed roundabout has been removed
- All avenue bulb‑outs have been removed
- Most bulb‑outs on 3rd Street have been removed, except where needed for safety at key crossings
- The remaining bulb outs have been relaxed for a smooth turn to better accommodate large vehicles and trailers
- 7 crossing locations for improved safety, 5 with rapid flashers
- Same amount of on-street parking “as is”
- Enhanced lighting throughout the corridor

The questions that follow focus on specific parts of the updated design where your input can still help inform final decisions. Please allow yourself 25 minutes to complete the questions that follow.
Your feedback will not be recorded until you hit submit. Please ensure you have hit "submit" on the final page of questions to record your feedback.
