Airport Service Restoration Plan
Consultation has concluded
The City of Medicine Hat is updating the air service strategy for the Medicine Hat Regional Airport with the goal of improving air service and passenger experience for residents and travelers who visit this area.
The Medicine Hat Regional Airport (YXH) provides flight service to and from Medicine Hat and surrounding areas through Westjet Airlines with 21 departures per week to Calgary (YYC) on the Saab 340 aircraft with 34 seats.
The project, managed by 7th Wave Airport Management Consultants, has multiple components as outlined in the Project Life Cycle and has now entered the resident Survey stage.
Resident feedback will help determine the community’s demand, needs and wants with respect to air service. The survey process will shape the priorities and strategies resulting from the study, and help City/Airport staff communicate with air carriers.
The community’s engagement is critical to the success of your hometown airport, YXH!
